You can tell a Pink Sheets stock by the designation .pk at the end of the stock symbol. Both OTCBB stocks and Pink Sheets stocks are quite risky. Even the SEC warns investors to stay wary of these stocks and watch out for various investment scams. Scam artists may try to entice you to buy large quantities of a stock they are trying to manipulate. Therefore, it is important to use caution when buying penny stocks.

The penny stocks buying selling process is very simple. You will need a brokerage who offers trading of OTCBB and Pink Sheets stocks. To buy shares of a stock, simply enter the stock symbol and specify how many shares you want to purchase. The funds will be drawn from your investment account which you opened with the brokerage. You can also set the price you want to pay for the stock and how long you want the order to remain open.
